BART CROW - DIARY

Hey Texas music fans! Things are looking up for the BCB as they are climbing the charts. Thanks to your support, radio stations are spinning "Wear My Ring" all across Texas. Finally, people are getting to hear the great sounds of the Bart Crow Band.

Two weeks ago, the band traveled to Waco to play at our buddy Casey Kelley's Lakeside Tavern. It was good to see some familiar faces and the weather was much better this time around (No Tornadahs). From there, we scatted down to El Campo for a return visit to Muldoon's Saloon. Thanks to the crowd that showed up and thanks to Henry for making it sound so good.

Last weekend, the BCB started out early with a gig at Tavern in the Gruene. There was a great crowd and some much needed New Braunfels exposure. On Saturday, the BCB had the pleasure of playing at the Johnson Boys Benefit Bash in Covington. The Johnson boys lost their mother recently, and this benefit was to raise money for their well being. The BCB shared the stage with Stephen Pointer, Steve Tenpenny, and Pauline Reese (she's got a great dog named Baby who'll eat a bottle if you let her). Thanks to them for being so cool.

Sunday was a long trip down to Montgomery for a lakeside gig at Papa's on the Lake. What a cool place! It's a beach house atmosphere complete with sand volleyball and a swimming pool. There were tons of people but there could have been more. I feel that if it were a Saturday show, it might draw a few more folks. It was great to see Paul's family on Saturday and Sunday at both shows.

Thank God for the better weather, as both shows were outside. We were fortunate to get a little breeze going.
